Samsung microLED TV available in early 2021
Samsung has unveiled its first consumer microLED TV. The 110-inch TV offers 4K resolution with HDR and costs just under 130,000 euros. The device is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2021. In January, Samsung plans to introduce new TVs with mini-LED and QLED at CES in Las Vegas.
The 110 inch microled TV is modular, but is delivered as a whole. This device is powered by the new Micro AI processor. This processor ensures, among other things, the optimization of HDR and enables Multi View. With this function it is possible to divide the screen into four 55 inch screens. Each screen can display its own source. According to Samsung, the screen has 100% DCI-P3 color range and consists of 8 million pixels. From this you can conclude that the screen has a 4K resolution. Each pixel can switch itself on and off, just like with OLED. The big advantage of microled compared to OLED is that you have no chance of burn-in and that higher brightness is possible. In addition, Samsung claims that this device delivers up to 100,000 hours of perfect image quality thanks to the inorganic led material. This Samsung microled TV has an impressive 99.99% screen-to-body ratio.
