This week at CES 2024, Samsung gave a promising preview of its new 2024 OLED TV series. The highly anticipated series – the S95D, S90D, and S85D – are set to be the pinnacle of the TV market, with sizes ranging from 42-inches to 83-inches.
S95D Series: Top Model of 2024
The S95D series shines as this year's flagship. Samsung promises a whopping 20% more brightness than previous models, with the 77-inch version as the absolute hero in this regard. With an estimated maximum brightness of 3000 nits, images become more vivid than ever. The S95D series is equipped with the groundbreaking 'OLED Glare Free' technology, which minimizes reflections and perfects color accuracy. As icing on the cake, the series comes with the handy One Connect box, in which all connections are neatly integrated, so that the television itself remains slim and elegant. The S85D line will be available in 4 different sizes, Samsung QE42S85D, Samsung QE55S85D, Samsung QE65S85D and the Samsung QE77S85D. The S90D and S95D series will both come in 3 sizes, Samsung QE55S90D, QE55S95D, for 65 inch Samsung QE65S90D and QE65S95D and a larger variant in the Samsung QE77S90D and QE75S95D.
QD-OLED vs. WOLED
The S95D series is expected to utilize QD-OLED technology, an exciting combination of OLED and a quantum dot filter. The S90D series is also said to benefit from this cutting-edge technology in specific sizes, while the S85D series will be equipped with WOLED technology. The S95D and S85D series will come in 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch sizes, while the S90D series will offer a wider range of sizes, ranging from 42-inch to 83-inch.
