LG unveils QNED mini LED TVs

In 2021, LG will launch the QNED series. The screens combine Quantum Dots and LG Nanocell technology. The televisions from the QNED series will use miniLED technology. The screen consists of thousands of miniLEDs that can be controlled in much smaller groups than with Full Array Local Dimming. This ensures better contrast, better color reproduction and higher brightness. The 86-inch top model has 30,000 miniLEDs and 2500 dimming zones.

The QNED televisions are released as premium devices, but the OLED televisions remain the absolute top models of LG.
