LG line-up 2022
The complete OLED and LCD line-up has been renewed
LG comes with more inch sizes and more brightness
Ahead of CES, LG has released their improvements for 2022. In addition to more inch sizes, LG is coming with OLED EX, which is an improved version of the OLED Evo technology. According to LG, the OLED Evo panel brought 20% more brightness than standard televisions. The new OLED EX would exceed this by 10% and goes for 30% more brightness. In addition, the edge (the bezel) will become narrower. It is not yet known on which series this new technology will be present.
ProcessorLG will launch the new Alpha 9 Gen 5 Processor in 2022. The improved version controls the Brightness Booster in the G2 series, among other things. This powerful processor can also be found on the OLED series Z2, G2 and C2 and the QNED series 99 and 95\96. The other models still have to make do with the Alpha 7 Gen 5 Processor , but this smart processor also analyzes the content and environment and adjusts the TV settings accordingly.
ScreenAmong the OLED models, only the Z series will once again feature 8K resolution . The other OLEDs will retain 4K. Among the LCD LED televisions, the QNED99, QNED95/96 series will feature 8K, the rest of the series will remain at 4K. All TVs in the OLED series have a 100Hz panel with the exception of the A2 series, these televisions have a 50Hz panel. The G2 series will be expanded with an 83-inch model and the world's first 97-inch OLED TV . The OLED C2 series will be available in no fewer than six sizes between 42 and 83 inches in 2022. All TVs in the OLED and LCD LED series have full HDR support (Dolby Vision, HDR10 Pro & HLG).
